Two superb quality Powa-Lite Quartz Halogen Spotlights for field work (50W and 100W).

Both models can optionally be fitted with a dimmer control unit which allows for the adjustment of the brilliance of light. This feature could be highly desirable to avoid concentrated light on specific subjects. Also ideal for use with a portable battery pack as the dimmer control allows you to conserve the battery life.

Replacement bulbs are available for both models.

Both models require a 12v battery which is not included.

The dimmer control unit is recommended.

Globe Replacement
To replace the globe you need to remove the Black Retaining ring which surrounds the Reflector. If you look at the Light, face on, there will be a join in the Black Plastic Tubing at the 6 oclock position. If you lift up the left side of this, you will be able to pull the Ring out of the Housing. (There is a wire ring inside this plastic tubing and it only goes around about 80% of the diameter. We always leave the short bit on the left hand side so as you can easily lift up the empty section of tubing to help pull the ring out).

Once the ring is out you will need to tap the spotlight face down onto a table to dislodge the reflector from the housing. Then you have to peel back the black plastic tubing that surrounds the glass lens to the point where you can remove the lens from the reflector. Care must be taken not to put their fingerprints on the inside of the reflector as it is easily marked.

Next, pull the old globe out, noting how far it is pushed in to the globe holder. Fit the new globe in place (to the same depth) and then replace the lens, put the reflector back in the Housing, and then put the retaining ring back in place.
