A complete net consists of a handle, hoop and bag. Below are the individual aquatic net bags and hoops that are available.

Construction
The handles and hoops are constructed from aluminium tubing. They are light weight and strong and will hold up to standard work procedure. All hoops, handle and nets are Australian made. All hoops, handles and nets are Australian made.

The bags are manufactured from either polyester, polyganza or micron mesh plankton material.

To obtain a complete net one must choose the required hoop and bag that matches with each other (e.g. the 456mm hoop with the 456mm bag), plus a handle.

All of the handles, (with the exception of E24) are of one fixed length (e.g. E25 is 119cm).
The E24 handle is a collapsible handle. The extended length of this handle is also 119cm but it collapses down to a length of 73cm.

An optional extra for the handles is the E561 aluminium extension which is 81cm long. This extension will fit all handles. You can use multiple number of extensions to all handles.

Components - Aquatic Hoops
The hoops are constructed from strong, lightweight aluminium tubing and will hold up to standard work procedure.

Three types available.

Circular type (E28) - small 152mm diameter
Small size aquatic hoop for general collecting or for mosquito applications.

Triangular Dip Hoop (E35)
A very popular triangular shaped aquatic hoop with the flat section across the bottom being 35cm in length. The two sides are both 30cm long.

D Frame Kick Hoop (E35A)
A D frame shaped aquatic hoop that measures 30cm across the bottom and the two sides being 25cm long.

A popular combination for the Watercatch program is E25 handle, E35 Hoop and E565 aquatic bag.

Components - Aquatic Net Bags
There are three different styles of aquatic net bags which correspond to the different shaped hoops; the round hoop, the triangular dip hoop, and the D frame kick hoop. Within each of these styles there are variations in the net bag available.

For the Small 152mm Diameter Hoop (E28)
E36A is made from strong durable, but soft polyester mesh size 0.9 x 0.3mm. The depth of the bag is 18cm. It is reinforced at the rim with a thick calico.
For the Triangular dip Hoop (E35)
Four types of aquatic dip bags available. E44, E565, E565A and E565AA
- E44 dip bag is made from strong durable, but soft polyester with a mesh size of 1.4 x 1.4mm. The depth of the bag is 59cm. It is reinforced at the rim with a calico
- E565 dip bag is the most popular aquatic bag for the Watercatch Programme. It is made from strong durable, but soft polyester with a mesh size of 0.9 x 0.3mm. The depth of the bag is 59cm. It is reinforced at the rim with a thick calico. It has a Velcro attachment which simplifies fitting the bag onto the hoop
- E565A dip bag is used for professional work. The bag is made from 250 micron mesh plankton screen. The depth of the bag is 36cm. Strong sail band material is used as reinforcement at the rim with a Velcro attachment which simplifies fitting the bag onto the hoop
- E565AA dip bag is also used for professional work. The bag is made from 500 micron mesh plankton screen. The depth of the bag is 36cm. Strong sail band material is used as reinforcement at the rim with a Velcro attachment which simplifies fitting the bag on the hoop
For the D Frame kick Hoop (E35A)
Three different types of aquatic kick net bags. E565AB, E565AC and E565AD.
- E565AB kick net bag is used for professional work. The bag is made from 250 micron mesh plankton screen. The depth of the bag is 100cm. Strong sail band material is used as reinforcement at the rim with a Velcro attachment which simplifies fitting the bag onto the hoop
- E565AC kick net bag is used for professional work. The bag is made from 250 micron mesh plankton screen. The depth of the bag is 50cm. Strong sail band material is used as reinforcement at the rim with a Velcro attachment which simplifies fitting the bag onto the hoop
- E565AD kick net bag is used for professional work. The bag is made from 500 micron mesh plankton screen. The depth of the bag is 50cm. Strong sail band material is used as reinforcement at the rim with a Velcro attachment which simplifies fitting the bag onto the hoop
