The original microslide mounting medium. Euparal mountant was invented in 1904 br professor G. Gilson, Professor of Zoology at Louvain University, Belgium. Since then the method has passed through several hands but full details have never been published, becasue of the difficulty involved in the purification of the ingredients.

Uses of Euparal
The mountant, due to its low R. I and delicate action is particularly suitable for the permanent mounting of protozoa, starches, textile fabrics, cytological preparations and blood films. The solvent is ?Euparal Essence?, which is also a clearing agent. Available in quantities of 25ml, 100ml and 500ml.
