Help Desk - Is it safe to use my credit card online?

When communicating with our secure server (anytime you access your account/checkout, or enter sensitive information), all data sent between your browser and our server, including your credit card and personal details, is encrypted using the latest industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) 128-256 Bit encryption technology before being sent over the internet. This prevents anyone (known as 'the man in the middle attack') from 'listening in' on any part of the conversation between your browser and our secure server as all of the information is encrypted and therefore unreadable. Consequently, when you send your credit card information over the Internet to us, only we know what was actually sent as only we can unencrypt the data.

If secure transmission is indicated, Australian Entomological Supplies Pty Ltd currently uses a SSL certificate which uses AES256 bit encryption, issued by 'The UserTrust Network' on behalf of Comodo.

Information held by this website is also protected by encryption and firewall technologies. Furthermore, we take measures to securely destroy and/or permanently de-identify personal information when it is no longer required. If you are still unsure about sending your credit card to us via the Internet, then we suggest you use one of the offline payment options.

TIP: You can tell if your browser is in secure mode by looking for the padlock icon in the bottom corner of your browser window.
