BugDorm 4H Insect Breeding Cages

BugDorm-4 insect rearing cages provide a versatile and lightweight solution for breeding/rearing and housing insects. Available in cubic and rectangular designs, these cages feature a sturdy fibreglass framework positioned outside the enclosure to reduce hiding spots for insects. The soft fabric bottom allows easy placement, and for added support when handling heavier items, an optional acrylic floor (sold separately) can be installed.

Designed for outdoor use, BugDorm-4H insect rearing cages are made from durable, UV-resistant mesh fabric to withstand field conditions. The 720 µm nylon mesh ensures superior ventilation while safeguarding the insects inside. Perfect for field research, these cages offer a reliable and functional environment for studying insects in their natural habitat.

On both models, the front panel includes an 18-cm sleeve opening for easy access to add or remove insects and replace food. A thin strip sewn across the ceiling suspends objects such as feeders.
