BugDorm Insect Rearing Tents

This series of BugDorm insect rearing tents offers a range of sizes and materials. Below are the six variations we currently stock.

EM2120 Insect Rearing Tent (60x60x60cm, polyester mesh)

The EM2120 insect tent is one of the most popular products in BugDorm Store. Of tent-like design with a framework of lightweight fiberglass, EM2120 is a portable housing for raising or breeding insects and other small animals such as spiders and lizards.

The front and back panels of the EM2120 insect rearing tent are of clear plastic for observation of insect activity; the two side panels are of Polyester netting (96 x 26 mesh) for ventilation. There are two openings in the front panel of the EM2120. The zippered opening is large enough to insert small potted plants. Centered in the zippered opening is a smaller sleeve opening (18 cm diameter) for addition or removal of insects and for replacement of food material without letting insects escape.

The EM2120 insect tent is constructed so that support poles are outside the enclosure. There are no places for insects to hide inside the EM2120.

EM2120F Insect Rearing Tent (60x60x60cm, fine nylon mesh)

The EM2120F insect tent has the same dimensions as the EM2120, but instead of using 96 x 26 mesh polyester, this BugDorm is sewn using the fine 150 x 150 nylon mesh. This mesh size effectively keeps aphids, thrips and parasitic wasps from escaping or entering the tent.

EM2M120 Insect Rearing Tent (60x60x60cm, nylon mesh)

The EM2M120 insect tent is an alternative to the EM2120.  Please note that the EM2M120 is all mesh except the floor.  There are no clear panels. The EM2M120 has Nylon netting (44 x 32 mesh) all around for better ventilation.
