Pinning Blocks

Introducing our insect pinning block, handmade in Australia’s Norther Rivers.

A must-have tool for entomologists and collectors alike, these blocks are precision-machined. They feature multiple rows of precise pin holes to securely mount and organise insect specimens during preservation. Ideal for preserving delicate specimens with ease, it ensures professional-grade results in insect taxonomy, research, and educational displays. They are made to last a lifetime of use.

We offer two types of pinning blocks, both with five (5) setting heights. One is timber construction made from Tasmanian Oak. The other is constructed from block aluminium.

Pin hole diameter is 1.5mm. Setting heights are 7mm, 11mm, 16mm, 21mm and 27mm.
