Sieve set with three nested bowls

Here we present our sieve set, handmade in Australia from durable materials. It is designed for easy separation of debris from specimens.

It features a set of three nesting plastic bowls, each 105mm diameter and 25mm deep, with a lid.

One bowl has a solid bottom, one has a coarse screen bottom (openings approx. 1.1 mm. square) and the other has a fine stainless steel screen bottom (approx. 100micron – will stop first instars).

The coarse screen sieve is useful for separating debris from larvae, and the fine screen is useful for concentrating larvae, i.e., removing excess water.
