Biogents BG-Pro CDC Light Trap

This extremely high quality and versatile light trap can be set up in a variety of ways.

All of the parts, including an EBAT-3083 battery bank, are provided to make an EVS-style, CDC-style, or Sentinel-style trap. Also included is the LED light.

The trap designed to be used with an EBG501 Biogents lure to attract Tiger mosquitoes (Aedes albopictus and Aedes aegypti).

It can also be used with C02 to capture all mosquito species. This can be achieved either by using dry ice (carry bag doubles as an esky which can hang over the trap) or by using the EBG-CO2 Upgrade, which attaches to your C02 gas bottle (not supplied).

This trap runs on 6 volts. However, for more suction 12 volts can be used (12 volts not suitable for the LED light).

At 6 volts, the fan draws approx. 0.17 amps per hour and the UV light draws approx. 0.25 amps per hour.

Performance of the BG-Pro

Field tests show excellent results indicating that the BG-Pro is at least as good as the CDC and the BG-Sentinel traps. They show superior catch rates with Aedes albopictus, Aedes aegypti, Culex spp., Culiseta melanura, and other species.
